KATHUA, Feb 1: The KCC Jammu today qualified for the semifinals of the ongoing Vth Police Martyrs' Memorial North Zone Inter Club Twenty20 Cricket Championship, organised by Shaheed Welfare Committee in collaboration with J&K Police at Sports Stadium, here. In the quarterfinals, played today, KCC Jammu defeated Stadium XI Kathua by three wickets to reach the last four stages of the competition. Earlier, batting first, Stadium XI made 118 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Rompy remained top scorer with 26-ball 30 runs studded with four boundaries while Ankush contributed 27 runs. In reply, KCC Jammu chased the target of 119 runs in 19.5 overs losing seven wickets. Manik Gupta, who played match winning knock of 31 runs, named man of the match. Manik presented with Rs 2100 cash prize. |
