| Youth arrested firing with revolver | | | Early Times Report
poonch, Feb 1: Police today claimed to have arrested a youth for allegedly firing on a man on Saturday in Poonch.
Police sources said that the alleged accused Sheraz Ahmed Malik son of Nazir Ahmed resident of Mendhar at present Poonch, who had allegedly fired upon Mumtaz Bhat resident of Alla Peer was arrested. "The weapon of offence involved in the commission of the crime was also recovered and seized. The accused has confessed to the crime and further investigations are on," he added.
Police sources said that Sheraz and Mumtaz had some arguments over a petty issue and it suddenly took ugly turn after which Sheraz took out his revolver and fired two bullets upon Mumtaz, who had miraculous escape.
Police sources further said that another person present on the spot managed to snatch weapon after which accused escaped from the spot. Soon after receiving information about the incident police teams rushed to the spot and nabbed the accused.
A case has already registered in this regard in Poonch police station. |
