Majalta, Feb 1: While chairing meeting of party workers and local administration at Majalta, RS Pathania, MLA-elect from Ramnagar, has called on Governor and Central Government to take immediate steps for operationalising Majalta tehsil. Although a full-fledged Tehsil has come over but due to lack of proper infrastructure and administrative support, Tehsil-level offices and related developmental and infrastructural activities have not taken off properly.
Pathania also demanded a special package for Majalta Tehsil so as to operationalise newly-upgraded Majalta Tehsil in a most effective and target-oriented way. People were highly critical of the shortage of staff and infrastructure in various schools of the area. They also expressed concern over poor condition of link roads in the area and demanded immediate repair-cum-renovation of Majalta-Jansal, Tajoor-Peuni, Mansar-Barigarh, Sundla-Babay, Mahalanga-Chaugan, Dhamma-Jansal, Nanoti to Chadai Naon raods.
He also sought fresh Municipal Committees at Majalta and Manwal. Majalta is Tehsil headquarter since long and by merging adjoining areas of nearby villages, Kuarnoo, Sartari, Peuni, Kathil and Baryalta, a viable municipality could come up at Majalta. |
