Investiture ceremony of PE Teachers Refresher Course held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 18: Resources have an immense importance for sustenance of human life but they require a proper handling and training. Director General, Youth Services & Sports, Navin Agarwal said during valedictory ceremony of men's in-house refresher course for Departmental Physical Education Teachers/Physical Education Masters which concluded at Youth Hostel, Nagrota today. Agarwal said that department of Youth Services & Sports is directly concerned in the building and shaping the man power of the state in particular and nation in general through the activities and games, so as to channelize this resource of young India through a proper way. Games being an effective mode and tool in-calculating values and one-ness among the young generation which necessitates the department to update the sill and knowledge of Physical Education. "I am hopeful that all the officials who have undergone this course shall enforce these skills and emerging sports trends in handling the student community", he added. Agarwal emphasized that the knowledge about recent trends in games and sports obtained by the PETs & PEMs will be put to the advantage of the students where such teachers and masters are posted. Later, Agarwal presented all the trainees certificates of undergoing the refresher course successfully. Principal Government College of Physical Education, Ganderbal, Dr. Harjeet Singh the co-ordinator of this course was also present with Deputy Director Youth Services & Sports, Jammu, Rishi Kumar and A. R. Shigan, Accounts Officer, Directorate of Youth Services & Sports. About 100 Nos. of Physical Education Masters/Physical Education Teachers from all the districts of the state participated in the reference course. |
