Jammu, Feb 18: Alexander Memorial School (AMS) today celebrated 'Grand Parents' day here at in school premises. According to press release, Principal of School Esther William welcomed the chief guest, other distinguished guests and grandparents of the tiny tots. The junior school choir presented a welcome song in their melodious tune. The tiny tots of classes 1st, 2nd and 3rd presented poems, songs and prayers. Senior students interviewed the 'grand parents' and asked them to share their experiences and memories. All the grandparents were given small gifts as a token of appreciation. Sehaj Singh, a very Senior STC of the Scouting Department, was given a 'Special Award and Certificate' for his dedicated services to the Scouts/Guides Department. Those present were Rev. Udai Singh, Presbyter-in-charge St. Paul's Church, SM Gill, Vice President, Alexander Memorial Educational Society and Ex. MLC. and ID Soni, State Commissioner Scouts and Guides, Jammu. Rameshwar Mengi, Director, Shiksha Niketan Hr. Sec. School/R.M. College of Education, Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The Chief Guest also gave away 20 certificates of merit and the "The Late Lily Aziz William Award" for Service and Integrity and 10 certificates of merit for the 'Most Well Groomed' students of the session 2014-15. |
