Jammu, Mar 15 : Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu in collaboration with Punjabi Adbi Sangat, Jammu organized two days' National Seminar at KL Saigal Hall of Cultural Academy, Jammu concluded here today. According to press release, Ishupal singh well-known Punjabi writer and Ex- Editor, Sheeraza (Punjabi) was the Chief Guest during the concluding session of the seminar. Veteran Punjabi writers from different parts of the country participated in this two days' Seminar. The theme of the Seminar was 'Creative Process of Surinder Seerat'. Earlier, paper reading by Prof. Ashok Kumar, Sulakhan Sarhadi and Dr. Jagwinder Jodha on the writing of Surinder Seerat was conducted. An interaction Session was conducted during the second session after lunch where Devindar Vishwanagrik, Dr. Nirmal Vinod, Dr. Manojit, Dr. Baljeet Singh Raina, Harbhajan Sagar, Dr. Sushil Sharma, Hazora Singh, Kanwal Kashmiri, Popinder Paras and Jang Verman interacted with Seerat and put up their points for seeking viewpoint of Surinder Seerat. Dr. Jagbir Singh, former HOD and Dean, Punjabi Department Delhi University, Dr. SS Khahra, former Chairman, GND University, Amritsar, Dr. Darya, GNDU, Amritsar, Dr. Gurpal Singh Sandhu, Chandigarh University, Dr. Janmeet, Dr. Kulwant Singh Sandhu, Dr. Arvinder Amn, Khalid Hussain, Dr. Rajnish Bahadur, Dr. Janmeet, Dr. Hazora Singh USA, and others were among the well-known intellectual community of the writers. President of the Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu Devindar Vishwanagrik, expressed his happiness for the successful conduct of the programme. He said that more events like this one will be organized by the Sabha in future also to contribute towards the promotion of Punjabi language in the region. |
