Jammu, Mar 15: The Cabinet which met here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, ordered major transfers and postings in administration.
Rakesh Kumar Gupta, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Governor, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary to the Government, Forest Department, vice Mohammad Afzal Bhat. Suresh Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department, has been transferred and posted as Director General, J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development, relieving Mohammad Ashraf Bukhari, IAS, of the additional charge of the post. Braj Raj Sharma, IAS Principal Secretary to the Government, Planning and Development Department, shall hold the charge of the post of Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
Shantmanu, IAS Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Health and Medical Education Department, vice Gazzanfar Hussain.
Bipul Pathak, IAS Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Transport Department, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department, vice Satish Nehru.
Pawan Kotwal, IAS Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Department, has been transferred and posted as Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, vice Shantmanu.
Rohit Kansal, IAS, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Public Works (R&B) Department. He shall take over the charge of the post upon the superannuation of Tanveer Jehan, IAS, on 31.3.2015, and shall be in compulsory waiting in GAD till that time. Kansal shall also be the Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Floriculture, Parks and Gardens Department.
Gazzanfar Hussain, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Health and Medical Education Department, has been transferred and posted as Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, vice Rohit Kansal.

Dr. Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, IAS, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, has been recalled and posted as Secretary to the Government, Relief and Rehabilitation. He shall also be the Chief Executive Officer, Project Monitoring Unit of the New World Bank Project.

Tufail Matoo, Managing Director, J&K Cable Car Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, vice G N Qasba, who shall report to the General Administration Department and await further orders.. Nazir Ahmad Mir, KAS, Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Development Authority, Gulmarg, shall hold the charge of the post of Managing Director, J&K Cable Car Corporation, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
In another decision the Cabinet accorded sanction to the transfer and posting of Shahnaz Goni, i/c Chief Engineer, Electric Maintenance and Rural Electrification Wing, Jammu as i/c Chief Engineer, Commercial and Survey Wing, J&K relieving Khurshid Ahmad Budoo, i/c Chief Engineer, Procurement and Material Management of the additional charge. It also accorded sanction to the transfer and posting of Ajay Gupta, i/c Chief Engineer, Systems and Operations Wing, Jammu as i/c Chief Engineer, Electric Maintenance and Rural Electrification Wing, Jammu vice Shahnaz Goni. |
