JAMMU, Mar 15: Contradicting the well known slogan of the Power development department "Electricity Saved is Electricity Generated",
various government departments of Jammu and Kashmir are consuming electricity lavishly.
The government departments used to consume more electricity by running heavy heaters in the winters and not only this, the lazyness of such departments is noticed by the daytime running of the lights. A similar case came to the notice of Early Times when the combined office of Deputy Controller , Drugs & Food Control Organization and Office of Deputy Commissioner Food Safety Jammu Division, Muthi where the staffers had forgot to switch off the lights.
Sources also said that the higher officials are also negligent in management of their offices as they do not have any check over the over consuming of the electricity.
An official in the Deputy Controller, Drugs and Food Control Organization Muthi, Jammu, said that he will check up the matter and sort out it soon. He also assured that such thing will not be repeated in the future. |
