| VIJAYPUR, Mar 15 : Block Congress Committee (BCC), Vijaypur's OBC Cell president Sardari Lal Verma passed away today morning after a brief illness. A resident of Village Rada in Vijaypur Block, the Congress leader Verma, who was 82 years old, survived by two sons and three daughters. Verma was associated with the Congress for the last several years and always remained in the forefront to strengthen the party at grass root levels in Vijaypur Assembly constituency. Several Congress leaders including Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Ghulam Ahmad Mir, MLC Jugal Kishore Sharma and senior Congress leader from Vijaypur Arun Sharma have condoled the demise of Verma. In a message, Arun Sharma while paying rich tributes to the departed leader said that Sardari Lal Verma was a dedicated worker who at all times put in his sincere efforts for providing strength to the party. |
