Udhampur Mar 15 : Five cases related to revenue dispute decided on spot, in national Lok Adalat, held Majalta on Sunday. NLA for the cases under Land Acquisition Act, Revenue and MNREGA was held at Majalta under the patronage of Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar, Chief Justice, High Court of J&K and Patron-in-Chief J&K State Legal Services Authority, and guidance of Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir, Judge, High Court of J&K and Executive Chairman, J&K State Legal Services Authority and guidance of chairman District Legal Services authority Udhampur R K Watal on Saturday. NLA was held under the chairmanship of Renu Dogra, Chairman Tehsil legal services committee Majalta. It was aimed at resolving various cases pertaining to the land acquisition disputes and also the MNREGA works. Lok Adalat bench was headed by Munsiff Renu Dogra and Tehsildar Majalta Aamir Choudhary. Out of total five cases related to revenue dispute taken up in lok Adalat all were decided on spot. Speaking on the occasions Chairman TLSA informed about the concept of Lok Adalat and how to get the cases referred in the Lok Adalat. She apprised the general Public and litigants about concepts of Lok Adalat and their benefits to the litigants, whose cases are pending for last so many years due to cumbersome procedure.
Lok Adalat witnessed a cheering response from litigants who come forward to settle their long pending disputes escaping the ruinous cost of litigation and technical problems. Beside others Naib tehsildar Majalta, SHO Majalta Arjun Chib, Bar members, Sarpanches, panches and a large numbers of litigants were present on the occasion. |
