Jammu, Mar 28: Police today claimed to have booked a government (CA&PD) ration dealer for black marketing of the government ration during naka checking in a locality falling under Police Station Akhnoor.
As per police sources, a police team from Police Station Akhnoor during naka checking intercepted a pedestrian some bags of government ration.
Getting suspicious over his activity as there was no ration depot in close vicinity, police intercepted him and questioned about the ration. He revealed that he purchased the ration from private dealer which perhaps sold him illegally on his disclosure police conducted a raid at the Government Ration Depot.
And during questioning, Sunil Kumar, the depot owner confessed of having sold government ration in black market. Meanwhile Police also seized two rice bags which reportedly were sold illegally by accused and booked him u/s 306 RPC and 3/7 EC Act. |
