17th J&K State Judo C'ship concludes
BSF Primary , BSF Ankur Play registers victories

JAMMU, Mar 28 : On the Closing Ceremony of 17th J&K State Open Judo Championship at Indoor Complex, M.A. Stadium, Jammu, BSF Primary bagged first place in Boys Category while BSF Ankur Play won in Girls Category. Near about 300 Judokas from all over the State (Kathua, Jammu, Srinagar, Samba, Leh) took part in the 17th J&K State Open Judo Championship. Devinder Singh Rana MLA Nagrota was invited as Chief Guest who also distributed prize to the champions. Besides Ajay Sadhotra Ex MLC, Thakur Rashpal Singh Ex MLA and President J&K Judo Association, Dr. Ashutosh Sharma Secy J&K Olympi Association Chief Sports Officer, Ravi Singh, Satish Gupta Manager Parade Stadium, Virender Dogra, Rohit Gupta, Suraj Sharma, Raj Kumar, Shashi Balgotra, Shiv Kumar, Sarabjeet Singh, S.S Gill. Anil BAdera, Shashi Bhushan, Sandeep Dogra, Mohd. Mushtaq, Vijay Saraf were also present on 1st event of the day after the Championship was declared opened by the Chief Guest. Bouts are officiated by Suraj Bhan Singh, Arshinad, Vikas Dogra, Ritika Slathia, Jugal Kishore, Shakti Gupta, Shokat Shafi and Rameshwar Singh Jamwal. The Championship was being organised by Vikas Gupta Gen. Secy. J&K Judo Association under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association. Refreshment was sponsored by Avtar Singh Chahal,, Managing Director White Gold Soya Paneer.
The results were as in Boys U-15 Yrs,50 Kg, Mridul Kerni remained 1st followed by Sanchit Rajan, Aareen Kotwal and Manoj Singh. In 55 Kg , 1st position holder was Alankrit Patyal while 2nd was Ketan Arora, in + 55Kg Udhav Gupta topped Paranveer Singh, Paras Kumar and Ayush Pandita While in Girls, U-15, 40Kg ,Bindiya Mahajan stoods 1st thenafter Anisha Sapolia, in 48 Kg ,Vanshsika Manhas at 1st place followed by Akansha Bhat, in 52 Kg, Anshika Manhas remained 1st followed by Vishali Choudhary and Vidushi Dogra while in open weight, Prachi Bhagat topped all and followed by Priyanshi Kapoor In Boys U-12 Yrs,30 Kg Shivam Baloria topped all where as Sanket Sharma, Sankey Khajuria and Dabeer Ahmed remained runner ups. In 35 Kg, Manish Sharma topped all followed by Shivam Sharma, Adeeb Ahmed. Himanshu, in 40 Kg , Sahil Kumar bagged 1st position while Aditya Andotra, and. Mudit Raina remained at 2nd and 3rd place resp. U-15 Yrs : In 40 Kg, Anuridh Singh maintained position at 1st place followed by Vipul Verma, Keran Verma, and Vansveer Singh, in 45 Kg , Hritik Sharmastood 1st, while Shivam Sharma, Mohd. Irfan Khan and Suresh Mangotra remained runner ups.
In Girls U-12 yrs ,25Kg, only Sehu-un-Nabi got qualified. 30 Kg : 1. Angli Sharma, 2. Tajinder Kour, 3. Vidushi Verma, in 35 Kg, Simran bagged 1st place followed by Sehr-un-Nisha, In 44 Kg, Isha stood 1st followed by Vishali Sharma.
