Srinagar, Apr 19: As part of cultivating political ground for future times to come and strengthen party cadre in Kashmir Division, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) state core committee has asked its Ministers and MLC's to adopt one district each of Kashmir and handle Development and Party affairs.
One top brass Party Worker informed early times that each Minister and MLC in a core group meet was asked to adopt at least one District Headquarter where he will be responsible for conducting developmental activities of the area separately and strengthen party cadre to cultivate ground for future times to come.
As per guidelines, Kashmir Division was divided in to three parts and likewise Ministers and MLCs were also assigned duties area wise in which Dr Nirmal Singh with Charanjeet Singh Khalsa from North Kashmir will look developmental and party affairs of North Kashmir with any other Minister of their choice, Ramesh Arora and Shamsher Singh Manhas with any one another Minister of BJP will look Central Kashmir, Sofi Yusuf Kashmir. "Committee decided to separately form a team of Minister's and MLC's who will only focus on developmental affairs of Kashmiri Pandits living as migrants in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir and focus will be on to invite noted Kashmiri Pandits in to party cadre to identify matters which can be solved in consultation with Party High command."Sources added
Ministers and MLC's shall separately meet once in a month and discuss and formulate strategies regarding developmental programmes and party affairs and then work as a unit to reach to the people of Kashmir division.
Sources said that BJP has also decided to benefit senior most Party workers of BJP from Kashmir namely Muhammad Ashraf Azad, M.M War,Ali Muhammad Mir,Mushtaq Noorabadi,Sheikh Abdul Rahsheed who continued working for Party from Kashmir in difficult times despite many odds like militant threats in past, besides lower grade party workers are also on the top priority of BJP leadership who will be provided all sorts of help.
Candidates who contested parliamentary and assembly elections last year were asked to notify needs and developmental concerns in their areas and report the same to party top brass cadre particularly to Ministers and MLC's who were assigned to look after Developmental affairs in Kashmir.
Sources said that in coming times Party under the leadership of Dr Hina Bhat is all set to strengthen women wing of Kashmir by inducting some more known faces in to party cadre, besides the party will use all means and measures to include youth face from Kashmir in cadre. Pertinently according to sources after receiving overwhelming response to the party membership drive which concluded recently, party top brass feels fertile ground can be flatted for candidates likely to contest assembly and parliamentary elections for future times to come if its Ministers and MLC's work on ground and benefit common masses.
