Dansal, June 19:ASHA Workers Union criticized the Government of India led by BJP to decrease the allocation of funds for National Health Mission in the union budget. A meeting organised of ASHA workers union block Dansal, district Jammu in the office complex of Block Medical Officer Dansal under the chairmanship of SunitaBaghat General Secretary. While addressing the meeting, Comrade Sham Prasad Kesar senior leader of the CITU demanded that ASHA workers be covered under AamAdmiBimaZojna including Anganwadi workers and helpers. ASHA workers be paid Rs 1000 per month their assured incentive regularly and timely with effect from April 2014 as per order of Union government dated January 2014. "ASHA workers are paid minimum wages till they are regularized as permanent employees. ASHA workers are issued two uniforms in a year, washing allowance, Identity cards, all benefits under BPL schemes, adequate mobile bill payment, TA and DA of their meetings and changing rooms in hospitals," he stated. Vimla Devi, Geeta Devi, Sunita Devi, Monika and Kanta Devi members of the union were participated in the meeting. |
