FMPHWs stage protest for not releasing pending salaries | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 19: Jammu Kashmir Female Multipurpose Health Workers Welfare Association (FMPHW) staged protest against the Health department in Madam Shashi Bala Memorial Park, Directorate of Health Services Jammu. A dharna was held under the leadership of Neelam Kumari, General Secretary, Jammu Kashmir FMPHWs Association and Sushil Sudan President of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF). Addressing the gathering, Neelam Kumari said that FMPHWs has facing immense financial problems and has been living the life of penury. Despite repeated requests made to the Minister for Health, Medical Education, ARI & Trainings, Ch. Lai Singh, nothing has been done practically except assurances with the result the FMPHWs are starving and have left with no option but accelerate their agitation till their salary is released. Speaking on the occasion, Sushil Sudan criticized the Government has once again urged the authorities to settle the issue of FMPHW s once for all. He further warned that in case their salary is not released then FMPHWs will be forced to accelerate their struggle and authorities will be responsible for the consequences. They urged the authorities to wake up from the long sleep and come to the rescue of these FMPHWs whose family has also been affected to non-disbursement of salary. Later FMPHWs and leaders of JKMEF decided to hold next dharna on 23rd June, 2015 (Tuesday) at the same venue in case their salary is not released by then. Further strategy will decided on the same day. |
