Parivartan calls on MP, discusses development issues | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 19: To discuss the problems being faced by the people in Jammu, the team members of Parivartan-NGO called in BJP former state president and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas in a function held here today. During the meeting, various issues including worst power scenario prevailing in the state especially when the summer season in Jammu is on peak and the demand of power has been increased manifolds but the supply from the Power Development Department is not enough. Due to which the people are forced to face the prolonged power cuts. The members also raised the issue of bad condition of roads in Jammu city and its surrounding, which were not repaired from a long time and the people are facing many difficulties. While raising the issue, Chairman, Parivartan, Vikas Sharma said due to the bad condition of roads, people are facing many hardships. In view of the forthcoming season of monsoon, which is round the corner, Sharma further urged upon the Shamsher Singh Manhas to raise the issue with the concerned department, so that people get some respite especially due to monsoon. Shamsher Singh, during the meeting gave a patient hearing to the members of NGO and assured that their issues would be discussed with the concerned and higher authorities, so that the problems which are faced by people would be solved earliest. |
