VHP alleges some elements trying to disturb peace in Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 19: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP)'s state president Leela Karan Sharma took serious note of the procession taken out at Rajouri by some elements that are bent upon to disturb the communal harmony and threaten to construct a mosque at Sunderbani where Samadhies of martyrs exist. Addressing media persons, Leela Karan said that some anti-elements in the Auqaf Department had taken on itself by declaring the property of the Hindu saints who have taken Samadhies in different places which is being worshiped as Peerbaba but by changing the nomenclature with the passage of time. It was called as Peerbaba which are being managed by the Hindus and worshipped by the Hindus. He further said that it is very clear that no institution such as Peerbaba does exist in the Islam as they are against the Murti Puja. But some elements sitting in the chair are trying to grab the properties of the Hindu saints and one of such incident is of Sunderbani that Hindus try to construct a temple on the said place in memory of the martyrs whose Smadhies exist at that place but as the site falls within the Ribben Development & the area falls on the site of National Highway & no construction is permissible & being a law abiding citizen they abandoned the project but now some elements are threatening to construct a mosque at the site with the support of Auqaf Department. He warned the Administration that if it allowed any person to enter at the site or start construction of mosque at that site the whole population of Hindu community of that area will revolt & come on the road and VHP will support their cause & if anything happens which will result in disturbing the communal harmony and the consequence arising there from will be the sole responsibility of Government. |
