Jammu, June 26: A woman and a teenager boy died after they were buried alive under the debris while digging mud in Belicharana area of Satwari on city outskirts of this winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir. ''A woman and boy were busy in digging work this afternoon when a heap of mud removed by the JCB machine fell on them in Belicharana area, police here said.
They said the duo were buried under the debris and immediately rescued and shifted to the hospital but declared as brought dead.
The deceased were identified as Raj Kumar, 19, son of Hari Ram and his sister Sunita Devi, 32, both residents of village Karela, Chattarpur, Madhya Pradesh. At present they were living in Sanjay Nagar area of Jammu South and were working as labourers. A case has been registered and investigations started, police added. |
