Jammu, June 26:All Jammu and Kashmir Patwaar Association (AJKPA) sought immediate redressal of their long pending demands.In their representation to Deputy Commissioner, Samba, the Samba unit of AJKPA demanded release of their pending salaries for 13 months. "Patwaries of district Samba are working without salaries for the last 13 months. Authorities' have not done anything to come over the misery of Patwaris. As a result patwaries are unduly suffering acute financial hardship. Not even Patwaries, but Girdawars in Samba district are also working without salaries for last 15 months. Now it is not possible for them to work without salaries any more", the mentioned in the representation. They alleged that concerned Tehsildars are also not projecting their plights before the higher authorities."The Tehsildars are deliberately not withdrawing the salaries in favour of Patwaries and Girdawars, despite availability of funds", they added. They threaten that if their demands are not met by June 30, they begin pen down strike. |
