Jammu, June 26: The Municipal Veterinary Officer, Dr. Zafar Iqbal along with field staff on the directions of Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Soujanya Sharma today conducted a Polythene drive in the areas of Gandhi Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Jewel, Talab Tillo, Akhnoor road.
While checking 15 kg of Polythene carry bags was seized and fine to the tune of Rs. 2800/- has been realized from the defaulters.
The drive will continue in near future action will be taken against the food establishments/Shops who found using Polythene carry bags to supply food items to the customers.
Jammu Municipal Corporation appeals to all the establishments/shops and general public avoid the use of Polythene bags for carrying eatables. |
