Appointed 25 yrs back in Agri Deptt | His services yet to be regularised, being paid mere Rs 1500 per month | | Early Times Report Pulwama, June 26: An employee of Agriculture department, who was appointed more than 25 years back on consolidated pay of Rs 30 per month, is moving from pillar to post for getting his services regularised by the government. Ali Mohammad Hajam was appointed as sweeper in agriculture department vide order No DAO (Ext) /PS/490-91/105-107 on April 1, 1990. The order issued by then District Agriculture Officer (Extension) Pulwama copy of which is available with Early Times reads as: "Mr Ali Mohammad Hajam, son of Gani Hajam of Haal, Pulwama, is hereby engaged as sweeper in agriculture department on consolidated sweeping charges of Rs 30 per month with immediate effect." While talking to Early Times, Hajam said that his family was facing starvation as he was not able to make his both ends meet on mere Rs 1,500 per month. "Many employees who were appointed on consolidated basis in year the 1990, 1999 and even 2000 , have been regularised but I don't understand why this injustice with me. I have been moving from one office to another for the last 15 years but it seems all the doors of justice have been closed on me," he added. He appealed to Agriculture Minister Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura and Director Agriculture Kashmir to intervene in the matter and do justice with him. |
