Rajouri, Jun 26: Continuing its drive against drug abuse/peddlers and bovine smugglers, the Police today arrested one person alongwith illicit liquor during a naka checking in area falling under Kalakote Police of Rajouri District,
"The accused has been identified namely as Pawan Kumar s/o Om Parkesh r/o Mogla of Rajouri who is running a tea stall at Mogla in Kalakot of Rajouri, police sources said.
Sources said, "On specific information, police team led by inspector Raghuvir Sharma, SHO Kalakote apprehended a smuggler Pawan Kumar (49) and during serach of his belongings police recovered 12 bottles of Rum brand mark XXX.
"The accused was waiting for vehicle at Chakli Morh Kalakote, police sources said. A case under FIR No 29/2015 U/S 48 Excise Act stands registered while further investigations are on. |
