JAMMU, June 26 : Hosts Mahant Bachiter Singh (MBS) Club Makhanpur shall be playing against equally good Hiranagar Club in the final of the Ist Mahant Bachitter Singh Gold Cup Hockey Tournament at Government Higher School ground, Simbal Camp, here on June 28 at 5 pm.
Earlier, in the second semifinal, played today, MBS outplayed Singh Club Bandhurakh 3-0. Gaganjot singh, Jaspreet Singh and Shivam Sharma were the scorers, who struck in 23rd, 36th and 49th minute of the match respectively.
Harsimran Singh was adjudged man of the match thereby awarded with a cash prize of Rs 500 by the organizers. During the 60-minute game, MBS got four penalty corners as against just one by Singh Club.
Today's semifinal conducted by the technical team comprising GS Bakshi (tournament director), Jaspreet Singh (organising secretary), Rajinder Singh, Kunwarpreet Singh Sagar, Daljeet Singh, Jagjeet Singh, Joginder Singh, Gurmeet Singh and Karanjeet Singh. |
