JAMMU, June 26: Organised by a group of prominent citizens, the Bhalwal Premier League Twenty20 2nd Cosco Night Cricket Tournament got underway at Bhalwal Higher Secondary School ground, Bhalwal, near here. The tournament was declared open by SDM Jammu North, Piyush Singla, who was chief guest. Tehsildar Balwal, Vijay Sharma and SHO Gharota, Ravinder Singh were guests of honour.
Earlier, in the inaugural match of the tournament, Anu Memorial Cricket Club defeated Kalagam Cricket Club by 30 runs. Batting first, Anu Club made 129 runs in given 12 overs, which, in reply, Kalagam Club could not chase and bowled out for 99 runs.
Tony was named man of the match. This tournament is organised by Kapal Dev Singh, Sangram Singh, Rimpu Jamwal and Simpu Jamwal. |
