JAMMU, June 26 : Roshni Cricket Club (RCC) made it a big 95 runs win when they outplayed Magicians Club in the ongoing Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Gold Cup Cricket Tournament at Government High School ground, Satwari Cantonment, here today. Earlier, Roshni Club, batting first after winning the toss, bowled out for 172 runs in 16 overs. Deepu and Gulu were main scorers with 20 and 36 runs respectively. From Magicians Club, Sunil clinched most of the five wickets while Kushal took three. In reply, Magicians Club could not chase the target and lost all their wickets for 77 runs. Shubam Dutta was only batsman who could touch the double figure mark with 23 runs. Sonu emerged as most successful bowler from Roshni Club with four wickets, followed by Bunty, who took three. Later, Sonu was declared man of the match for his four wickets haul. Meanwhile, in another scheduled match, Abrar Club defeated Red Rose Club by five wickets. Batting first, Red Rose bundled out for 92 runs in 13 overs. Vikram remained top scorer with 21 runs while Rakesh added 15. Rithik took five wickets from Abrar Club to restrict the opponent to a small total. Hitesh also bowled well to take two wickets. Chasing the target, Abrar Club attained the 93 runs goal in 12 overs with five wickets in hand. Bandeep made eight-ball 19 runs while Sehwag contributed 10-ball 16. |
