Early Times Report Kathua, June 26: The Union government in collaboration with Road & Transport Ministry today laid the foundation stone of a bridge on river Raavi that would connect Kathua town with block Keerian-Gandial situated across the Raavi at border of Punjab. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road & Transport was chief guest on the occasion. The programme was organised by J&K Project Construction Corporation (JKPCC) and supervised by Local MLA Rajeev Jasrotia who reviewed the arrangement. Ironically, AS Jamwal, DDC Kathua, Ashkur Wani, DIG Jammu- Kathua range, KS Nathayal XEn PWD and many other officers from district administration and top-brasses of police department surprisingly could not find accommodation in high profile function. They occupied the space meant for media. The media persons were standing aside whole the day in scorching heat amidst concrete of river Raavi. The venue was `captured' by Bharatiya Janta Party workers and few spectators. |
