Jammu, July 1: District Administration, Udhampur, today rolled out the arrangements finalized for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2015. The arrangements were discussed in a meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary. Meanwhile, an impressive reception function was organised by the district administration for Yatries for their welcome and yatra was further flagged off for the holy cave. District administration in collaboration with local people of Udhampur, businessmen, entrepreneurs and volunteers has established 35 Transit Yatra Camps with capacity of 11000 persons and alongside these camps 18 Langers have been established by voluntary organisations. Administrating has extended assistance of power supply, drinking water, sanitation and other facilities. Moreover, 17 magistrates have been deployed at these venues. A special Yatra Health Plan has been put in place with more than 200 officials, a dozen doctors have been assigned duty and 10 health & first aide centres, 15 ambulances, Help lines, registration and enquiry counters have been established. Ration has been made available at 17 locations for convenience of yatris. Police Control Room in Udhampur, Tikri and Chenani have been equipped by District Police and 15 officials have been deputed by different departments. |
