BJP to lose face if it goes back on written commitment: AIIMS CC
7/6/2015 12:07:04 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, July 5: Addressing impressive gatherings of leading civil society members drawn from all walks of life at Rehari and Bahu Fort here, chairman of AIIMS Coordination Committee (ACC) and president of
JKHCBA, Jammu, Abhinav Sharma on Sunday said that the BJP would lose its face if it went back on its 18th June commitment made in full public view.
The BJP would lose its face if it failed to implement in letter and spirit its written commitment that necessary orders for the establishment of the AIIMS in Jammu will be issued latest by 20th July, Sharma said, addingthat the BJP just could not afford to commit yet another political blunder as the people of the ignored and marginalized Jammu region are anxiously looking forward to that day
when the BJP will deliver its solemn promise.
The people of Jammu region are already angry with the BJP because it struck a power-sharing deal with the Kashmiri party, PDP, that was out and out anti-Jammu region and that deprived people of the region of even that inadequate share in the governance of the state they had under the earlier regimes, he said, adding that the plight of people of Jammu region was never so pathetic as it has been since March 1.
When the BJP forged an alliance with the PDP, which was known for its anti-Jammu and which had no support-base either in Jammu region Ladakh.
It is disgusting that the BJP handed over everything to the PDP on a platter leaving the people of Jammu region high and dry, he lamented with the civil society members endorsing the ACC chairman and assuring the ACC of their fullest possible support to the cause it has been taking up in right earnest for almost two months now. "We had never expected that the BJP, which could become part of the government in Jammu & Kashmir with the Jammu mandate, would stoop too low to pamper the PDP and the Valley at the cost of its own tested and committed constituency in Jammu region,†many civil society members said.
Among others who addressed the public awareness meetings included chairman SoS, International (Organization raising the cause of PoK refugees) Rajiv Chuni, vice-president, Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (CCI), Deepak Aggarwal, President Dalit Chetna Manch, Sham Lal Basson, vice-president Lower Raghunath Bazaar Association, Dheeraj Langar and Lalit Kumar..
