Jammu,July 23 : Prof. Poonam Dhawan today assumed the charge of Dean Academic Affairs of the University of Jammu in presence of Prof. R. D. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu.
The office of the DAA was relinquished by Prof. Neelam Saraf ,whose term as DAA expired on 22nd July 2015.
Prof. Dhawan has 36 years of academic experience and has rich administrative experience. She has also held several important assignments in the University. Prior to her nomination as DAA, Prof. Dhawan has also held the charge of Director, Competitive Examination Coaching Unit, Convener Board of studies, and member of many important committees of UGC and University.
Prof. Dhawan is also holding the charge of Director, Department of Life Long Learning and HoD M. A. Rural Development. She has been the founder Director of Centre for Women's Studies, University of Jammu. |
