Jammu, July 23: Though Prime Minister Narender Modi spearheaded Digital India Week celebrations, to spotlight the nation's new digital initiative but same has so far failed to make any difference to Legislative Assembly Secretariat, website of which is still giving outdated information. According to the website of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Abdul Haq Khan is still the chairman of Public Accounts Committee (PAC), while GM Saroori is Chairman of Committee on Public Undertakings and Surjeet Singh Slathia is chairman of Committee on Estimates. The information is not updated in the last two months, despite the fact that the Speaker of Legislative Assembly had reconstituted various House Committees on May 15. Moreover in the Who’s Who option on the website, the information pertaining to year 2009 is mocking, which is six years old, while in the Assembly Photo gallery option, not a single photograph of the Ministers from Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) coalition government have been updated and still the photographs of ministers from previous government have been posted. In the Annual Reports option, the reports of year 2013-14 are updated, while in the era of information revolution, not any mobile number of any official is updated on website and only two landline numbers are given there, which only shows that the officials responsible to update website have not taken the decrees of Prime Minister seriously. |
