No footprints of ISIS in Jammu Division: Outgoing GOC

Jammu, July 23: Lt Gen KH Singh, outgoing General-Officer-Commanding, White Knight Corps has said that there are no footprints of ISIS in Jammu Division and army will not let it happen.
The General admitted ISIS's presence in Pakistan and PoK , but attached no importance to its influence in Jammu Division or 16 Corp and assured army and security forces is fully geared and will not allow any kind of mischief by the cadre.
"We have no information from the state administration, police or security forces about any young students or the youth being recruited in the ISIS cadre which is a healthy sign. There are no footprints of ISIS here and our army and security forces would not let it happen in any circumstances," said H K Singh.
Lt Gen Singh is replaced by Lt Gen RR Nirbhorkar at a charge handing over ceremony at the Nagrota based 16 Corps here.
Singh said that since terrorist activities around the globe are more active through the cyber world, but security agencies and army is more proactive to such activities of the militants and fully prepared to defeat any attempt from any quarter.
Expressing concern over Pakistani military supporting the militants across the Line of Control , Singh said Indian Army is on alert and keeping a watch".
He further said that around 150 to 190 militants are waiting at the launching pads across the border from Sialkot to Kashmir.
When asked as to whether there is a rise in infiltration attempts from across the border, General Singh said, "Since the months from June to September are more vulnerable to militants' threat of crossing over from Poonch side , yet our counter-infiltration grid, surveillance devices and fencing is strongly placed to thwart their attempt".
Referring to recent infiltration bid at Brewa village after Pakistani Rangers engaged in heavy firing and mortar shelling, Singh said Pakistan army and paramilitary forces are engaged in helping the militants to sneak in this side of the border which were neutralized by the Indian forces.
