JAMMU, July 26: The President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today urged upon the State Finance Minister to immediate allot separate wage Head for each department for regular disbursement of wages of Sixty One thousands daily wagers working in the various departments of the state Government.Addressing a meeting of NMC activists here, Shastri pointed out that these daily wagers have not been disbursed their wages for the last 4/5 years causing lot of hardships to them. He said that it is strange that neither these daily wagers were not been regularized by the previous regime nor they have been paid their legitimate wages for years together. While appreciating the pro-working class approach of Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed and Finance Minister Hasseb Drabu, Shastri hoped that the long pending demand of these daily wagers for their regularization in the state Govt departments will be met. He appealed that in the meantime by creating separate Head particularly PWD, PHE, PDD, Irrigation and Flood Control department and other departments of the state Govt. for their wages so that they will be paid regularly under these wage Head. Among others who were also spoke on the occasion includes Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S. Jamwal, Sham lal Sharma, Sukhdev Singh ,Subash Sharma, Karan Singh, Harbans lal and many others. |
