Early Times Report

Jammu, July 26; In his endeavour to streamline the functioning of his department, CAPD minister Zulfikar Ali has taken up the herculean task of bringing it back on the rails. Talking to Early Times, he said, "I have transferred all CAPD officials from Udhampur district following public complaints against them. Some were there for years, he informed. Zulfikar said he was making efforts to bring reforms in the CAPD department for its better functioning.
The minister said 200 corrupt employees of CAPD would be shunted out and also denied the allegations that some "influential" employees were being given important postings. "I am trying to provide better services to the people," he added.
On the shifting of some ADs within two months of their posting, he said the officers "are shifted as per the need of the government".
The minister said though he had demanded KAS officers from the government to post them as ADs, he was provided only 10 pc of the total officers required.
