Citizens' Forum seeks CBI inquiry into JKCA scam
7/26/2015 11:59:18 PM
Early Times Report

jAMMU, July 26: Former State Treasurer PDP and President Citizen's Forum R K Chadha has demanded a CBI inquiry in the Rs. 113 crore JKCA scam.
The citizens of Jammu appealed the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to order a CBI inquiry in the JKCA scam , as Rs. 42 crores out of Rs. 113 crore BCCI fund was meant for construction of a cricket stadium in Jammu. This amount was sent to Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association ( JKCA) for promotion of cricket game in this state particularly for construction of a Cricket Stadium in Jammu.
Farooq Abdullah says that the funds received by the association have been pilfered by the office bearers of the association. Rs. 113 crore pilfered and swallowed by ordinary handpicked office bearers of JKCA who were handpicked by Dr. Farooq Abdullah the then Chief Minister of the J&K State, does not go down the throat of Jammu people, when Haji Yusaf was killed in the premises of Chief Minister Umar Abdullah for swallowing a few lakhs of rupees as party fund. Interestingly JKCA claims it has spent Rs. 5.53 crore in building infrastructure at Science College Jammu. The expenditure does not match the ground picture , as we find only grass and grass every where on the cricket ground. A case in which a probe committee took just one month to give interim report has remained pending with police for more than 3 years now and the floods of 2014 have provided them opportunity to manipulate record and work towards hushing up the case.
Dr. Farooq Abdullah is the only person who defended BCCI president N. Sirinivasan during the scandal, that match fixing and betting in India should be legalized. A CBI inquiry under High Court supervision is the demand of all citizen's of Jammu.
