Early Times Report Reasi, Aug 25: Security forces today recovered cache of arms and ammunition in mountainous Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. "Based on specific information, troops and Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Gool under Uniform Force Headquarters in Reasi along with Territorial Army personnel and state police carried out joint search operation in Thatharka Forest and recovered large quantity of arms and ammunition from a natural hideout," Col S D Goswami, Defence Spokesperson, Northern Command said here. He said the recoveries made from the hideout included two old vintage UBGL, six rounds of UBGL, one round of RPG with detonator, 13 detonators, three tubes of explosives, four hand grenades, three IEDs, two magazines of AK-47, 262 rounds of 7.62 mm AK 47, one kenwood Radio Set without antenna, one radio repeater, Five-Kg of explosive and 30 meter cordex wire. The area was cordoned off and search intensified, he added. |
