SAMBA, Aug 25 : Government Higher Secondary School Sumb won the inaugural match of the annual inter-school zonal level under-19 boys' cricket tournament, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), at Arzi Stadium, here today.
To enter the next round of the competition, HSS Sumb defeated Government Higher Secondary School, Samba by a wafer thin margin of one run. In another match of the day, Shishu Niketan Higher Secondary School Samba defeated Adarsh Vidya Peeth Higher Secondary School, Samba by 12 runs.
This zonal level tournament is organised by Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO), Rakesh Verma under the supervision of district officer, Subash Chander Bhardwaj.
