Jammu, Aug 25: Alleging non-serious attitude of State Government and Estate Department authority, employees of the Estate Department assembled in front of the office of Executive Engineer Estates Division here and raised slogans in the favour of their demands. Speaking on the occasion, Prem Singh Bawa and Yash Pal Sharma, J&K Coordination Committee of Estates Employees Union leaders demanded that their pending issues be resolved without at the earliest otherwise the will go on hunger strike. They are demanding early conduct of DPC, reorganisation of Estates Department, immediate transfer of a telephone operator deputed from other office, regularization of daily rated workers, release of wages of casual/ need base workers, provision of two and half day salary to the staff, issue appointment orders under SRO- 43, construction of building for the office of Dy Director Estates, change of recruitment rules and implementation of transfer policy and shifting of employees sitting at one post/ place for decades. Rash Paul Lal, Puran Chand, Tilak Raj, Subash Chandar, Sagar Massi, Ravi Sharma, Mohindar Pal, Kuldeeep Raj, Baljit Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Ram Chand, Jeet Raj, Raju and Rattan Lal were also present in the protest. |
