Jammu, Aug 28: NC president, Farooq Abdullah is trying to get close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Farooq, who had in the past worked with the BJP in the NDA government, is sending a signal to the PM Modi that BJP is not un-touchable to the NC and it could be an alternative to the PDP. Farooq Abdullah had first praised the PM Modi for taking a firm stand on the NSA level talks, when India firmly put down the foot on the condition that Pakistan NSA can't meet Hurriyat leaders before the talks. To woo Modi, Farooq has recently said that PM Modi has made attempts to bring peace with Pakistan first by inviting PM Nawaz Sharif on his swearing-in and secondly by holding meeting in Ufa. However, he said, nobody can, dictate terms to the Modi. It is very important developments and an equally important statement from Farooq Abdullah, who is one of the tallest leader of the state, having been the chief minister for about two-decades. Farooq Abdullah now realizes that Modi is in full control of the party with the huge mandate he has got and also that there is every possibility that he may win the second time also. "Farooq being a senior politician has realized that since Narendra Modi is to stay, he can't antogonise him like his son (Omar Abdullah) has done. Farooq is trying to convey that he is the boss and can take decisions on his own. |
