NSUI appeals Govt to give scholarship to RBA, ST, SC students | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Nov 17: State Secretary National Students Union of India (NSUI) Mehran Anjum Mir today appealed to the State Govt to give scholarships to RBA, ST and SC students. Addressing media persons, he expressed serious concern over the delay caused in distribution of scholarship of SC, ST and RBA category scholarship to students studying in various institutions. He said that the government is playing with the sentiments of the poor students falling under reserved category status and under Below Poverty Line (BPL). He added that if government is facing any problem in giving category scholarship to poor students, then why they issued scholarship forms for students. He threatened the State Government if the scholarship was not given to students on time they will forced to launch massive protest and government would be held responsible for the same. Earlier, a meeting was held under the leadership of Mehran Anjum Mir which was also attended by NSUI leaders Naseer Ahmed Mir, Pawan Jeet, Anil Kumar, Aquib Hussain, Wasim Khan and various others were present in meeting. |
