Jammu, Nov 17: The students of JK Public School, Kunjwani today celebrated International Students Day here today. According to press release, the day was celebrated as a day of multiculturalism, diversity and co-operation among students across the globe. This is an occasion when universities across the world boast of internationalism and tell how their students have become useful citizens of the society. Since Dr APJ Abdul Kalam's birthday on 15 Oct has been declared as World Students Day, he too was remembered and eulogised in the morning assembly. Tributes were paid to the visionary who was a scientist of great repute - also known as the Missile Man of India. The aim of the celebration was to tell the students to have a vision, acquire knowledge and fix a target in life. S K Singh, Principal, also told the students to follow in the footsteps of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. |
