Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 17: Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan is going to organize 2-day national seminar on 'THE VEDAS' on November 19, 2015. As per press release, the members of RSS said the Vedas are not just the oldest book in the world. They also occupy a prominent place in the world literature as the main source of knowledge and deed. The Vedas are also the source of intellectual force and the thought of the word. The birthplace of the Vedas is India, which was known in the ancient times as "Aryavarta". Hence, the Vedas are the basic source of the culture and civilization of this great land. They constitute the foundations of the great Indian civilization, along with its ethics, good habits, good character and Dharma. To this great tradition, the State of Jammu and Kashmir has also contributed significantly, through the writings of Kalhana, Bilhana, Anandvardhan, etc. Keeping all this in view, to examine the views expressed earlier, and to find solutions for various contemporary issues, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed to be University), the National Nodal Agency for Implementation of Sanskrit Policies of Government of India, is organizing a national seminar on "Concepts of Ethics in Vedic Literature in the Contemporary Context," at its Shri Ranbir Campus, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu, on November 19-20, 2015. |
