RTO sleuths realize Rs 1.0 lakh fine from violators

Kathua, Nov 25: The sleuths of Road Transport Officer (RTO) Kathua today conducted extensive checking on different inter district routes and Jammu-Kathua National Highway to check traffic norms violations and realized a fine upto the tune of Rs 1.0 lac from the traffic laws violators.
Official spokesperson said that a checking squad of RTO Office Kathua comprising ARTO Yasir Arafat, MVIs Er Rajiv Kundal, Kamal Kumar, MVTA Suresh Kumar, Darshan Kumar under the supervision of RTO Kathua Amarjeet Singh today conducted extensive checking on different inter district routes and Jammu-Kathua National Highway.
"The violators were booked under various provisions of Motor Vehicle Act, 1988, he said and added that violators were fined for indulging into overloading, driving without seat belts and crash helmets, using pressure horns, dangerous driving, and plying of vehicles in contravention of Registration Certificates and route permits."
