JAMMU, Jan 24 : A half marathon (5km) was organized today under the aegis of NCC Gp HQ, Jammu for the cadets of NCC. A total of 170 NCC cadets which include 65 girl cadets from all the prestigious colleges of Jammu participated in it. The half marathon started from Balidan Stambh where it was flagged off by Brig Rajan Jamwal, Gp Cdr, NCC Gp HQ Jammu and covered Dogra Chowk, Ambedkar Chowk, Balmiki Chowk, Khalsa Chowk, Green Belt Park and terminated at Green Fields Ground. Brig Rajan Jamwal, Gp Cdr, NCC Gp HQ Jammu distributed the prizes to the winners of half marathon.
Cadet Nilza from Government Women College, Gandhi Nagar and Cadet Juhi Charak from Government Women College, Parade were declared first and second respectively in senior Women category whereas Cadet Md Nadeem and Cadet Doorjai both from MAM College were declared first and second respectively in senior Division category. |
