JAMMU, Jan 24: Senior BJP leaders and legislators who are in the national capital are likely to meet the party top leadership over government formation in Jammu and Kashmir. The leaders participated in the BJP presidential election today and are likely to discuss the pros and cons of alliance with PDP. Besides the state BJP chief, Sat Sharma, over a dozen party legislators, MP Jammu -Poonch Lok Sabha seat, Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, MP (RS) Shamsher Singh, Manhas, Ashok Kaul, (organizing general secretary), national secretary Farooq Khan and other members of National Council will meet senior leaders late tonight and tomorrow to discuss government formation with them. As Shah, who was the unanimous choice to head BJP, for full three year term up to 2019 will be preoccupied by other engagements, sources said he may also discuss the issue of J&K with some senior leaders from the state tomorrow and seek their views on government formation. Shah who succeeded Rajnath Singh as president in middle of 2014 after the former was inducted in Union Council of ministers as Home Minister of India, the responsibility of Party was given to Shah has been the architect of party's victory in 2014 Lok Sabha elections as well as in Maharashtra, Haryana and J&K. |
