| Shahpur Mohalla Loharan still awaits electricity | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, Jan 24: The Loharan Mohalla of border village Shahpur located nearly 20 km away from district headquarters Poonch.
Shahpur villagers said that even after 68 years of independence their hamlet is still without electricity.
They alleged that despite making repeated requests of providing electricity to their village to the district administration but it was not paid any heed. They expressed anguish on district administration and said that administration always neglected them. They appealed the Governor to issue necessary instructions to the Power Development Department to provide electricity to their village.
District president Other Backward Class Union Poonch and panch of the village Abdul Rashid Shahpuri threatened the district administration that if the long pending demand of the villagers is not fulfilled at the earliest, the people will come on roads sooner than later. |
