Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 4: On a very hectic Tuesday loaded with plethora of political activities within the two parties PDP and BJP, there are comments circulating in social media as to who among the political 'actors' looked cool and who desperate in terms of their actions, conduct and statements that followed after meetings with state Governor NN Vohra. Ex Deputy Chief Minister Prof Nirmal Singh is being seen as most desperate person even within his own party, so keen on forging of the alliance and formation of the government.
Sources said while there is no confirmation as to what prompted Prof Nirmal Singh to rush to the Guest House and meet PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, his gesture has not gone well within the hierarchy of BJP's state leadership, no matter he tried to project it as simple courtesy call. Though it is learnt that Prof Nirmal Singh had gone as emissary from high command to convey some important political message to the PDP chief, the whispers within the BJP are the role which should have been performed by the state president snitched by former as such matters are discussed and deliberated between party to party at the level of the state heads.
Ex Deputy Chief Minister's act of desperation is also being seen in making statements that exhibited nervousness and keenness on government formation when he contended it repeatedly .. ' Agenda of Alliance is there for six years ……both the parties will soon form the government….'. On the contrary Mehbooba Mufti exhibited a composed gesture, no matter wearing optimism, but chose words and language cautiously to express what she feels about government formation in the state. She did not show any sign of nervousness or fear while talking to media.
This was in contrast to how Prof Nirmal Singh conducted himself a couple of hours later while talking to media. Extreme anxiety and apprehensions of something may go wrong, he tried to explain in a way as to why there was a reason for the two parties to come together again and form the government as early as possible. This was quite explicit in both his words and action, that is why he is being labelled as most desperate and eager man towards formation of government. Ten days after when the two parties will again be asked about progress, if any on their intent to form the government, will he exhibit some signs of gravity and patience, given the fact that he has occupied second highest post in the 10 month long government.
