| Jammu, Feb 4 : Continuing its drive against bootleggers, the Excise Department under the active supervision of Excise Commissioner, J&K T Angchuk and Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Mohammed Shahid Saleem, today during a series of raids conducted in Kathua and Samba districts destroyed over 600 Ltrs Lahan and forty bottles of illicit liquor. According to official spokesperson, the raids have been conducted by Excise sleuths conducted raids in Chabbachak and Chrtala areas of district Kathua and in the process more than 600 kilo grams of Lahan and forty bottles of illicit liquor has been recovered and destroyed. "In a similar raids the Excise sleuths under the command of ETO, Kathua Range, Sandeep Gupta conducted the raids In district Samba at Randawa, Ramgarh, Chamyal and Rada areas, he said. "In the process 10 liters of illicit liquor was recovered which was destroyed on spot, he said adding that raids were conducted by a team headed by ETO Samba Range Tinna Mahajan and ETO Eradication Suresh. |
