Dental quacks pose health risk in state

Jammu, Apr 23 : The presence of dental quacks is leading to an increase in blood-borne diseases in Jammu and Kashmir, according to the Indian Dental Association. "Dental quacks in the state have become the root cause of various deadly blood-borne diseases including HIV, oral cancer and Hepatitis-B", President, IDA, Dr Gautam Sharma said. IDA President, who also apprised the state Health Minister Bali Bhagat about the defunct dental council in the state, said the court has put on hold the appointment of Registrar till further orders.
