Rich Harvest School organizes Parental counseling session 4/23/2016 10:38:35 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 23: Rich Harvest School today organized a parental counseling session on "How to handle Adolescent, children". An attempt to bridge the gap between the parents & their children was made by Dr. Chand Trehan, a pioneer in introducing psychological counseling in the state of J & K. The counseling session was attended by parents of teenagers who were concerned and confused about their teenage children's behaviour. And were eager to have a solution to breach the barrier between themselves & their children. Dr Chand Trehan, took up an effective & interactive session wherein she exhorted the parents to focus on proper grooming during the foundation years of their children. CBSE panelist counselor, Dr Trehan apprised the audience about the different parenting styles like authoritarian, permissive and democratic. She told the parents that there was a need to keep a positive outlook towards life and inculcate values in the children right from the very beginning. The concept of "sharing is caring" was emphasized. Dr Chand Trehan not only provided the parents with effective parenting tips regarding child development but also settled the queries of the parents.
