| LMD books Rs 3 traders, imposes 4000 penalty | | |

RAMBAN, Apr 23: On the direction of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Mohammad Aijaz, a team of Legal Metrology Department (LMD) led by Assistant Controller conducted surprise checking of various business establishments at Banihal, today.
During checking an amount of Rs 4000 was imposed in the shape of penalty besides booking 3 traders for violating the various provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Weight and Measure Enforcement Act 1997 and Packaged Commodity rules.
Meanwhile, warning was also issued to all the traders for adhering to all the norms and rules of the act.
